The Lord is good.

After arriving in Kansas City and catching up with Jenna, we decided to ask the Lord where he wanted us to go and what to do. So in the car, we prayed, and the Lord gave me an image of birds. Shortly after, the color red. So we had birds and red. Then Jenna received a place that we were to go to. As soon as we changed our course, the car in front of us waiting for the light had a St. Louis Cardinals frame plate! We figured that this meant this truly was the Lord speaking to us.

Upon arrival at the Church of Ressurection (Jenna's image), there just so happened to be a Christmas' Eve Eve service going on at the time of our arrival. (remember this was a tuesday afternoon..) The image I received for this place was a yellow sun. The service was about how we are to be the light of the world because that's what Jesus was when he came in. To demonstrate this, we all received candles when entering the service (forgot to mention that this church is a mega church like auditorium seating, so there were couple hundred at the service). At the end of the service, all the lights turned off, and there was a single candle lit. Then that single flame spread throughout the room, and after minutes, the whole auditorium was lit with hundreds of candles.

It just struck me that instead of sun, the Lord was trying to communicate that the Son (sun) was to be the light (yellow sun) of the world. A good reminder that we have a purpose in this darkness. If we are not the light, then we are a part of the darkness, and if you are the light you cannot be half a light. You must either be a light or darkness. Similarly, we cannot be half-Christians, we must be disciples of Christ or of the world.

Time to go in the prayer room! The Lord is unfathomable. He is great.
